SV Psychological Association Donates $1,000 to Sac G&L Center.
The Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center has received a $1,000 donation from the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association (SVPA). The donation will be used to support programs that offer peer discussions and other support activities for all age groups sponsored by the Center.
“This is the largest donation the Association has given to a non-profit organization,” said Dr Rob Woodman, SVPA President. “We think the gift is appropriate for the Center because it addresses the needs of some of our community’s most vulnerable citizens. We acknowledge the mental health benefits of the Center’s many peer support groups and for providing a place where people can find others like themselves.”
In giving the donation, which was made the last week of February, 2010, the SVPA has joined the Donor Circle level of membership at the Center that is part of a comprehensive program to insure a strong financial position for the organization.

“To receive a gift from one of our straight allies continues to validate the Center is building partnerships that can have a positive impact on all segments of our community,” said Mancarti.
