On Friday evening Nov. 18 , beneath a befitting lavender sky, Sierra College's Spectrum committee celebrated their 6th annual Pride days.

Chair person, Johnnie Terry unveiled their newest project titled, Narratives of Courage which documents the stories of LGBT community figures.

Terry explained that the history of interviewees such as Denny Mangers, Jerry Sloan and Linda Birner is not only wanted by the LGBT community but also deserved.

Narratives of Courage is being created to be held in what will become the Spectrum Archives.  The goal is to create a resource where the history of the LBGT community will be documented and saved for public access.

The event successfully raised funds for the project through an art raffle and ended with a lively student and faculty drag show.
