The June 9 Issue is available now.434 cover

“Wet and Wild.” That’s what Sacramento Pride 2011 was for almost everyone that braved the constant rain that Mother Nature threw our way. In the spirit of Pride, people actually had a good time, and helped to support the Sacramento Gay and Lesbian and all the good it does for our community. With the help of Larry Lauszus and Charles Peer, we have some great pictures that capture some of those good times. (Thank you Larry for taking the cover shot of Kate Moore!)
Inside this issue we take a look at the 30th anniversary of HIV/AIDS, highlight two upcoming Pride events hosted by the Crocker, reflect on the significance of Harvey Milk day and more.

Then we switch gears and present some Summertime drink recipes, we look at “Mary Poppins” that will be playing at the Community Center Theatre, remind you not to miss the Tony Awards this year and we take a look at new Blu-rays and movies.

And (admitting this is shameless self-promotion) we at Outword are going full steam ahead with our second Outword Day at Raging Waters. We are scheduling it for August, so hopefully, it won’t be cold and rainy! See the ad on page 26 for details, and go to our web site to purchase your tickets.

So we hope you will pick up the latest copy of Outword and really enjoy breezing through it. However, if you prefer your reading done in the digital domain, we have that for you too - and be on the lookout for the new Outword iPhone/iPad App.
