2021 was another tough year for most of us, but instead of focusing on the unpleasant, the staff at Outword decided to take a look back on all the wonderful things that happened. We ran some interesting stories, had some memorable covers, and as always, tried to bring you content and resources that you would find useful or valuable as a reader. Our look back begins on page 15.

It’s chock full of Holiday cheer and even more shopping ideas! And the person who embodies the most spirit and kindness is Ms. DoMe Moore, who graces our cover this issue. She was a vision at last week’s Drag Queen Bingo and Toy Drive to benefit WEAVE.

Hollywood hath given the first gift to the world this holiday season with the movie “House of Gucci”. Lady Gaga graces our cover and stars in the film as Patrizia Reggiani, alongside a star-studded cast including Adam Driver (Maurizio Gucci), Jared Leto (Paolo Gucci), Jeremy Irons (Rodolfo Gucci), Salma Hayek (Giuseppina Auriemma), and Al Pacino (Aldo Gucci). All the deets on the movie on page 20.
Finally. A series for mature gay men.
In our latest issue, we highlight “The Disappointments” a new web series about three middle-aged gay friends trying to figure out how to live their best lives, and actors Rich Burns and Trevor La Paglia grace our cover. More details on the show and where to watch on page 10.
Diving further into this edition of Outword, we have some travel updates courtesy of the Sacramento International Airport on page 4, and on page 6, the Weave Holiday Toy Drive returns during two big events: Sacramento Rainbow Chamber’s Drag Queen Bingo Event at Mango’s on Thursday, December 2nd, and the Outword/Badlands Liquid Therapy Happy Hour on Friday, December 10th. How cute is Bitzy? She is officially the winner of this year's Pet photo contest! Although we got lots of really wonderful images this year, we just kept coming back to cutesy Bitzy. Thank you to everyone that sent in photos of their lovable babies. Check them out starting on page 16. We should also note, just in case you were wondering, Ernie was not harmed in any way during this whole process. However, he is not happy about not be this year’s cover model..!
