Our Annual Wheels and Tech Issue is Out Now!
Let’s be clear. Not all of us in the LGBTQ+ community can be fabulous. Some of us are fabulous AND nerdy. And this is the Outword issue for you! Welcome to our annual Wheels and Tech issue! With this issue we try to touch on nerdy (in a good way) things that might interest some of us, who just happen to be LGBTQ+. Cars, computer gear, audio equipment, SUVs and even classic automobiles. This issue has it all!
Happy Pride Month Sacramento (and everywhere else)!
In some ways this month has flown by for us, and in other ways, quite the opposite. As far as Outword’s production schedule – flown. This is already our third Pride Month issue, but it seems like only a couple of days ago, we changed our production plans from just one Pride issue, to three. This issue’s Pride theme is “Stonewall.” But, like all things 2020, and almost all issues of Outword, this issue took on wonderful life of its own. It did not become so much a history book lesson, as a reflection of some people, in and around our community, that acknowledge the history and the hard work it has taken to get LGBTQ people to where we are today.
Our Second Pride Issue of 2020 is Out Now!
When COVID caused the whole world to shut down, Pride Celebrations around the world were cancelled, so we decided to do not just one Pride issue, but to keep the spirit going for a whole month, so we decided to do three. Number One is done and has been available since May 28, and this issue, Number Two, has just hit the online newsstands. Our theme for this issue is “Activism.” Originally, we had different ideas for what was going to go into this issue, but the rapidly changing world around us had other plans.
First in a Series of Three Pride Issues – Out Now!
instead of one super-huge issue, we will spread LGBTQ+ Pride out over three consecutive issues! This first issue we are calling “Heroes and Icons.” The next two will be “Activism” and “The Stonewall Issue – Outword’s Pride Yearbook.”
