You just gotta love Buster! He is the little gent gracing the cover of this new issue of Outword. His mom, Linda, snapped the shot shortly after adopting him. It’s a very cute picture and is the winner of this year’s Pet Photo Contest! Be sure to see most of the entries we received this year, along with this pic, starting on page 14. (And a great big Thank You to everyone that submitted an image and a sentence. We had a great crop to choose from!)

Because it’s our Pet Issue, we have some really great content that is pet related. Starting with an article about “Rescuing a Shelter Dog,” Drinking Wine and doing good, some fun pet-related distractions and even some racy dog toys for those parents with a sense of humor.

That is certainly not all that is encapsulated in this issue. We have “Flashes of Beauty,” info about Prop 8 videotapes, Getty Images and GLAAD join forces, and a fond farewell to Leslie Jordan, just to name a few.

Both Matt and Chris bring you info on great things to do and see. Rocky Horror is a re-occurring theme and Chris brings us Mormons, Xanadu and the “End” to Halloween – Thank God.
