As you can see from the cover, the John Wick movie franchise has a new installment, “John Wick: Chapter Four.” Our intrepid Arts and Entertainment expert, Chris Narloch, looks forward to this new revenge thriller and another action-packed blockbuster coming soon to the Esquire IMAX Theatre on K Street. Details on page 17.
There are also a lot of things happening around town, like an interactive art exhibit, a Social Justice Art Walk, new grants given to Celebration Arts, and the California Legislative LGBTQ+ Caucus made a statement about Bill 1314.
But this issue is not all about news and politics. Just dig a little deeper and you will find: a great picture page with images taken at Tahoe Blue’s recent All Blue party, Matt Burlingame’s “Out & About” column, Broadway Sacramento takes the wraps off a new season of amazing shows, and we also preview some upcoming events at both Mondavi and The Crest. Not to mention, Chris has even more movies reviewed on page 23.
Outword would like to give a special shout out to the Rainbow Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Community Excellence Awardees for 2023. See the ad on page 10, and we ask that you also check out page 14 where there is an ad for Cancer is a Drag, a fundraiser that promises to be both fun and for a great cause! We will have more information about Cancer is a Drag in the next issue.
