Gosh we love our pets, huh? And why not? They love you but never get wrapped up in drama and they are always there for you. So, this issue celebrates our non-human friends. Dogs, cats, turtles you name it.
Every year for the Pet issue we ask you, our readers to send us a pic or two of your little one so we can enter them in our pet photo contest. The images are judged on cuteness, composition, and image quality. (Are some of you still using flip phones? Just sayin’). Turn to page 15 to see the runners-up and page 17 to see the winners, that were chosen by a panel of judges. Of course, we would like to extend a hearty thank you and ears scratching, to everyone that sent in their photos!
Since this is our Pet issue you’ll find on page 11 “Little Activisms” explores some fun swag you can get for your pet and page 14 is where you can find out how Sacramento fares when it comes to dog parks, and more.
Just because it’s a theme issue doesn’t mean it is devoid of other really great stuff, though.
Be sure to check out Fred’s take about a wonderful, dog friendly weekend in Eldorado, sleeping, sipping wine, and eating great food, and all of it less than an hour’s drive from Sac.
Chris Narloch is certainly a trusty companion with his bowl-full of great entertainment tidbits. Who’s a good Arts and Entertainment editor? Check out that the Queen of Christmas is coming to Sacramento, Celebration Arts and Capital Stage have some interesting shows and, of course, he highlights four horror movies, just in time to put you in the mood to howl at the moon on Halloween.
Love you, Chris!
A of this is only a part of the unconditional love that we have wrapped up in a chew-chew and tossed your way. All you need to do is retrieve the paper, or read it online.
Sorry, it’s the pet issue…
