Sacramento Pride Special Issue 2025

Jun 10, 2025

This is a very important issue for Outword. We love being able to highlight Sacramento’s largest LGBTQ+ event and share as many details as possible with you, our readers. So here it is—52 pages filled with community info, a little bit of politics, and lots of fun things to do, see, and even wear this Pride season.

First up, we wanted to say thank you to Sacramento for all the years of support, so we put together a little something to do just that. Take a look at page 3.

We touch on some ever-shifting politics—important, need-to-know stuff—but also include some good-to-know, feel-good stories too. Be sure to check out page 10 for a shoutout to River Bend Medical’s Dr. Francisco Garcia for receiving Special Congressional Recognition. Congrats!

As mentioned earlier, we have lots of fun stuff—starting with McCartney photos in SF and Movies Off the Wall right here in Sac. There are a couple of books that will keep you in the mood, some major news about The Dinah, the Darling Clementines celebrating Pride, and the amazing Cynthia Erivo—Has Arrived!

Chris Allan brings us info and wonderful pics from two Pride events: Placer Pride (page 28) and Suisun Pride (page 39).
Pages 30 through 32 will give you plenty of great info about the upcoming Sac Pride event on Capitol Mall—June 14 and 15. Make sure you’re ready to go: buy your tickets in advance and consider taking SacRT to the festival to avoid parking dilemmas. It looks like it’s going to be one heck of a good time!

Chris Narloch brings you four blockbusters that are in cinemas right now, Fortune Feimster, and even some Cake at the Crocker.

On page 36, you’ll notice an ad for our Supper Club, which is making a triumphant return at Roscoe’s on June 20. If it sounds like a good time, scan the QR codes to make your free reservation so we can get a headcount. Roscoe’s is gearing up, we’re gearing up (with blinky light pins—and more), so it’s gonna be a hoot!

There’s so much more in this issue. Suffice it to say, you just need to click on over to either our ISSUU flip version or download/view the PDF. Both are filled with hyperlinks to provide you with super-easy access to more information—whether it’s about an advertiser or where to find more details in general.

One more thing! We’d like to say (again) how much we appreciate our advertisers for supporting us throughout the years—and especially now. We wouldn’t be here without you, and we promise to continue doing our very best to Get the Word Out.
Happiest of Prides to everyone!

Have a great time—but stay safe and alert.
