On page 8, we’ve got a book review of “Electric City” which recounts the details of the Muscle Shoals project, and the involvement of two major innovators: Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Of course, if you just prefer to look at pictures of amazing cars, there’s a book for you on page 9.
On page 11 is our cover story, “My Retro Ride,” by Andy Harris, which tells the tale of his 1959 Chrysler Imperial Crown Sedan and why it is a cherished family heirloom.
If you’re looking for something a little newer to drive, we’ve got “10 Things to Consider When Buying a Car” on page 12. For movie fans, “Mythbusters” is launching a show called “Motor Mythbusters” on the MotorTrend App. The show examines certain car scenarios in films and if they are scientifically possible. (More details are on page 14). Speaking of Hollywood, Chris Narloch is back with two action flick reviews on page 15.
More wheels? OK you’ve got it! Ride along with us to page 17 in a #5 Roadster and read about the joy and connection that cars can bring to others. On page 18, find out why sheepskin covers are the way to go for your car seats.
If you’re in the market for an electric ride, you’ll want to read page 19 and check out the VW ID.4, a reasonably priced alternative to some of the other electric cars on the market. On page 22, one of our favorite contributors, Mikey Rox is back with “Expert Tips for the Perfect Solo Road Trip.”
