As a very wise Puerto Rican American citizen recently reminded us, “The only thing stronger than hate is love.” All of us here at Outword couldn’t agree more. Bad Bunny’s show was inspiring, inclusive and just plain fun to watch — which is exactly how we feel about this new issue. It’s our annual Romance and Weddings edition, and we think you’ll find something for everyone inside, even if you’re not planning a walk down the aisle anytime soon.
First, we’d like to welcome Beazer Homes back to the pages of Outword. Check out their beautiful ad on page 2 — it’s good to have you back!
On page 3, we respectfully acknowledge Black History Month and offer our love and respect.
From there, we lean into the romance. You’ll find “Do Women Care About Valentine’s Day?” on page 5, DIY Valentine’s Gifts on page 6, “Planning a Queer Wedding” on page 8 and more. And don’t worry, singles — we didn’t forget you (see page 11).
For entertainment, Chris Narloch returns with his infamous mini movie reviews, along with updates on the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus, Broadway Sacramento and CapStage. (And yes, Alexander Skarsgård is still pretty dreamy.)
So yes — love, love, love… and quite a bit more. Click over to our website and dive in.
And don’t forget: this Friday is our Liquid Therapy Happy Hour. We’ll be giving away Broadway gift packs and Culture Club tickets. Who knows? You might even meet your Valentine.
