With friends, supporters, and sponsors in attendance, the event was a lively reminder of why this publication has thrived for 30 years. Cupcakes, cocktails, and a whole lot of gratitude made the night one to remember—here’s to the amazing LGBTQ+ voices in Sacramento. What began as a simple drive in an electric car turned into a two-day Napa experience filled with indulgent bites and charming discoveries. From deviled eggs at R+D Kitchen (in Yountville) to an elegant steakhouse dinner at Cole’s Chop House, and a chowder stop at Hog Island Oyster Co., the trip highlighted both classic flavors and casual delights. With a cozy hotel stay, scenic mountain drives, and even a few quirky surprises, this mini-getaway proves Napa is more than just wine country. See page 20.

As always, Chris Narloch gives us a heads up on several cool things to see and do, including a free music festival in Golden Gate Park, a free art tour in Sacramento, and even a free night at the drive-in in Rancho Cordova! (In these inflationary times, ‘free’ is definitely a good thing.)

A little bit further Pamela Anderson trades Hollywood glamour for wholesome charm in her debut cookbook, “I Love You: Recipes from the Heart.” Filled with 80 plant-based recipes inspired by her Vancouver Island roots, the book blends comfort food with sustainability and self-care. With a James Beard nomination, glowing reviews, and personal touches from her farmhouse kitchen, Anderson’s collection is as nourishing for the soul as it is for the table. Surely a must for cookbook lovers.
