Thank you to Chris Allan for the wonderful cover image taken at the beach in Sitges, Spain (along with details of her recent visit there on page 12).
You read that right. This issue since it is all digital allows us to bring you more pages, more content, it has 38 pages!
We start off with a little local information and politics, including some responses to Governor Newsom’s podcast statement about trans athletes… We are sharing Truthout’s story about the current situation regarding trans people trying to get a passports. We have a short article about consumer confidence, and on page 9 there is information about a special film screening and fundraiser in Nevada City, CA.
Then it’s travel, travel, travel! You can look over the various locations, at your leisure. (See above for more details).
We still manage to slide in movie reviews, and a farewell to the late Gene Hackman, by Chris Narloch. As well as Cynthia Erivo at WorldPride, “Uncle Vanya,” “Footloose” and the Netflix original “With Love, Meghan.” Matt Burlingame delights with his Out & About, now improved with more pictures! You can find that on page 24.
If you are looking for something fun, but a bit closer to home, check out “The Humidor” at Sky River Casino in Elk Grove.
We share some great tips about traveling alone by Brian Webb of HomoCulture.com. And we say hello to AutoCamp’s California locations, including the brand-new Sequoia. Speaking of saying hello, be sure to read about the “House of the Parrots” – it looks amazing, that’s on page 30.
Since we have some room to spread out, digitally, the two pages of memes from Facebook is a fun and interesting way to raise awareness about the rapidly changing landscape around us. Stay alert, folks! And then there is Walla Walla tucked in nice and neat on page 34.
